Anantpur or Anantapuramu is the district place and city of Andhra Pradesh, India, located on border of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, 145 km far from Kurnool and 210 km far from Bengaluru. The name of Anantpuram is derived from the Anaatasagaram, a big tank, which means Endless Ocean. As per other believed this city named after the Bukka’s queen and some contend that it is known after Anantarasa Chikkavodeya. Anantpur is ancient historical city with several ruler dated back to 1000 years with Vijayanagar Empire had great influence.
