Srikalahasti is ancient sacred town and taluka place located on bank of River Swarnamukhi, around 35 km from Tirupati in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, India. Name Srikalahasti is the combination of three word, Shri means spider, Kala means snake and Hasti means elephant, it is believed that at this place Sri, Kala and Hasti worshipped lord Shiva and attain moksha thus this sacred place is named after then as Srikalahasti.
