Tarnetar, Famoust for it’s Fair, near Than, Suredranagar District
Tarnetar is small village near Thangadh in Surendranagar District, Gujarat. Tarnetar is very popular across the India for Trinetreshwar Temple and Tarnetar fair. Unmarried men and women adorn themselves with traditional dress and cultural ornaments and gather at the fair to find match for them. Tarneter fair is held on 4th, 5th and 6th day of Sukhla Paksha of Bhadra Month every year. Most of the part of Tarnetar village is covered with large number of stalls installed to sell beautiful local and unique handicrafts items with tribal jewelry, traditional attire, idol of deity etc. /p>
