History and Importance of Junagadh
Junagadh is head quarter of Junagadh District, Gujarat and situated at foot of Girnar Hills. It is famous for Hindu and Jain Temple, especially for Girnar, 1000+ m height hill and Gir Forest National park. It is also known as Sorath, Junagadh joined into India in Nov 1947. Junanadh had great history over the year during different ruler including Maurya, Chudasama, Mugals, British etc. Junagadh is famous for tourist destination as well as pilgrimage and well connected by road, railway and airport networks.
