Holy Taluka Place Garudeshwar, Narmada District
Garudeshwar is one of the Taluka place of the Narmada district in Gujarat state and only 15 km away from the Sardar Sarovar – Statue of Unity, tallest statue of world. It is located on the bank of the holy river Narmada and also small dam to store water is under construction near Garudeshwar. This will help to store and maintain water level near Sardar Sarovar and Statue of Unity for water ride. Previously it is village of Nandod taluka but then separted Taluka is assigned to Garudeshwar. Garudeshwar is very popular among the follower of Lord Shree Dattatreya due to Dutt temple. This place hasa spiritual background because of Vasudevnanda Swami Maharaj and one of the important Datta Tirthkshetra.
