Mayapur also famed as Mayapur Dham, the world famous Hindu pilgrimage site, especially for follower of Gaudiya Vaishnavism is located on confluence of holy river Ganga and river Jalangi near Nawadwip at distance of around 130 km away from Kolkata. Mayapur is the birth place of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhuji, believed as the incarnation of Lord Krishna who had established Gaudiya Vaishnav sect in 15th century.
