The history of surrounding region is found dated back to thousands of year and the most latest one and important is of the 10th century. When Siddhpur region was ruled by the Solanki rulers, the city goth highest of name, fame and glory. The ruler Sidhraj Jaisingh had established Siddhpur as his capital at, thus the name Sidhpur which literally means Siddhraj's town. He had built a temple dedicated to Shiva – Rudra Mahalaya now ruined found here, several beautiful palaces and one huge 80 meter high tower. He also brought large numbers of Brahmins from Mathura and helped in settled down at Siddhpu.
