Vairavapatti is the small village in the Tirupattur taluka of Sivaganga district, Tamil Nadu, India, located at just 8 km from Tirupattur and around 40 km from Sivaganga. Though it’s a small village but major pilgrimage destination of Tamil Nadu and South India as it is home to popular temple Vairavanswamy Temple of Lord Shiva. The name of the village derives from the temple dedicated to Lord Kala Bhairava – in Tamil language known as Vairavan. This temple is the third-largest Shiva temple managed by the Nagarathar Chettiars of the Chettinad region. The presiding deity here is Lord Valaroli Nathar and his consort Vadivudai Ammai. Lord Shiva worshippe
