Dabhoda, the small village around 15 km from Gandhinagar is very popular for ancient and historical Hanumanji Temple also well known as Dabhodiya Hanumanji Mandir. It is believed that this shrine was constructed during the Mughal Rule and various interesting tales are attached with this holy place. It is also said that this 1000 years old temple where Swayambhu – Spontaneous idol of Lord Hanumanji appears. Another tales related to this place is, while Mughal king Allauddin Khilji had attacked on Patan state, the king of Patan was hide in the forest near Dabhoda. Cowherd went in this forest for feeding their cow and found that one cow named – Tildi was perform Abhishek of his milt at specific place. Once king came to know about this he ordered to dig out this place and during this they found out the idol of Lord Hanumanji. This is how ancient Hanumanji temple built and renovated couple of time stands as major attraction in surrounding area. Big fair is observed on the Kali Chaudas when around 4000 kg of oil used for Abhishek of lord Hanumaji. All Saturday and Purnima of Chaitra month – Hanuman Jayanti are the best days to visit this sacred shrine near Gandhinagar. Prasad of Sukhadi is very popular here and devotee can take this to their home as well.
