Gir National Park, Gujarat
Gir National Park is dense forest and wild life sanctuary near Talata Gir near Junagadh in Gujarat, also famous as Sasan Gir. Gir Natinal Park was established on 18th September 1965 with total reserve area of 1412 KM. This is the only area in Asia where Asiatic lion found. According to 14th Asiatic lion census, in 2015 lion was population estimated 523.
Gir National Park is closed from 16 June to 15 October every year and best time to visit is between December to March.
