History and Significacne of Bet Dwarka
Bet Dwarka is island located at around 3km from coast of Okha, devotee can reach Okha by road and then by boat to Beyt Dwarka. It is believed that it is home for Lord Shree Krishna and family and original place of Lord Shree Krishna. Offering rice is auspicious here in Bet Dwarka Palace as Sudama, the best friend of Lord Shree Krishna offer rice to Shree Krishna. It is also believed that idol at Bet Dwarka was made by Rukmini herself. This main temple on island is surrounded by other shrine of Lord Shree Vishnu, Lord Shiva, Hanumanji and Rukmini.
Shakho Dwar is most important gate at Bet Dwarka, It has been told that every devotee who visit Prabhash area, Holy River, Sea, God everyone remember this gate. The myth behind this gate is, demon king Shankhasur lift the four Vedas from Lord Brahma and Lord Matsya- incarnation of Lord Shree Vishnu uplift demon king here.
Bet is the Gujarati word for island and this is island of Dwarka thus known as Bet Dwarka. Devotee and Tourist can enjoy water sport, scuba diving, boating here at Bet Dwarka.
