The Trinetra Ganesh Temple, located in the Ranthambore Fort inside the Ranthambore National Park is very famous Hindu temple of Indian state of Rajasthan. The temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesh, the god famous as obstacles remover and the god of wisdom, intelligence, and new beginnings. The temple is named after idol of Ganesha with three eye and is considered to be one of the most important and auspicious temples in the region. Interesting history is associated with the Trinetra Ganesh Temple, when war happens between King Hammeer, the great devotee of Lord Ganesh and Alaudding Khilji in around end of 13th century at Ranthambore fort for long time. During this period food and necessary items are stored in godowns of fort and king stayed here. Due to long time of war, storage of items were about to get over. Then one night, Lord Ganesh appeared in a dream of king and told him all your problem will over. Idol of Trinetra Ganesh was found from fort and also all the storage were full with food. Then the king was able to conquer all his enemies and achieve great success in his endeavours. Then in King had built temple from red Karauli stone at the spot were Idol of Lord found and started worshipping at the Trinetra Ganesh Temple.
Mainly five types of aartis and darshan are taking place every day in temple, Prabhat Aarti (early morning aarti), Sringar Aarti at 9 am, Bhog at 12 noon, Sandhaya Aarti during Sunset (6:30 in the Summer and 5:45 in the winters) and Shayan Aarti taking place at 8 pm.
