The second holiest Takhat is TAKHAT SRI HARIMANDIR JI PATNA SAHIB. Gurudwara is situated at the north-eastern part of Patna. At the bank of holy river Ganga. It is one of the five seats of temporal authority of the Sikhs and has been consecrated by three Sikh Gurus. It is revered as the birthplace of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj. The shrine, which is a symbol of daring and bravery, inspires immense piety in pilgrims and is an important part of Patna's glorious legacy. Patna Sahib is another name for Sri Harimandir Sahib Ji.
Guru Gobind Singh ji was the tenth Guru of Sikhism, governing from December 22, 1666, to October 7, 1708. He was born on November 11, 1675, in Patna, Bihar, India, and became a Guru at the age of nine, replacing his father Guru Tegh Bahadur. He was the Sikh faith's leader, as well as a warrior, poet, and philosopher. Guru Gobind Singh is regarded as a great example of manhood in Sikh society; he was highly educated, proficient in riding and armed battle, courageous, and generous in personality. It would not be an exaggeration to argue that no one in human history has had a more compelling personality than Guru Gobind Singh. The tenth Nanak instilled in the thoughts and hearts of his disciples the spirit of both sainthood and unflinching Ness in order to resist oppression and restore justice, righteousness (Dharma), and uplift the world's downtrodden people. Following Guru Tegh Bahadur's martyrdom, the tenth Master proclaimed that he would establish a Panth (country) that would not be cowed by tyrannical rulers, but would instead challenge oppressors in all walks of life to restore justice, equality, and peace to mankind. He further vowed that he would only feel worthy of the name Gobind Singh if any single member of his Khalsa Panth could effectively and unafraidly challenge an army of 125 thousand opponents in battle. When Sahibzada Ajit Singh (Guru's around 18-year-old eldest son) challenged the Mughal armies and their allies, the mountainous Rajas, at Chamkaur Sahib, this point was amply shown. "For the purpose of religion, the Divine Guru has sent me. I've come into the world on this account; spread the gospel everywhere. Capture and eliminate the evil and sinful. Understand this, you holymen: I assumed birth for the sake of spreading the gospel, preserving the saints, and destroying the tyrants in your thoughts." (Bachitar Natak, Guru Gobind Singh- Chaupai)
Gurudwara Patna Sahib is considered the epicentre of Sikhism in the east. Takht Sri Patna Sahib is the Sikhs' second accepted and acknowledged Takht, according to history. First and foremost, it was 'Sher-e-Punjab' Maharaja Ranjit Singh who took on the responsibility of erecting a massive Sikh temple in this location. The celestial building was reduced to a mound of dust due to an earthquake. The golden fabric, as it exists today, has come into its own with the help of the Sikh masses. Patna Sahib also houses some of the tenth Guru's relics. A pangura (cradle) with four stands covered in golden plates is one of them. Guruji used to sleep in this cradle when he was a child. Four iron arrows, the Master's sacred sword, and a pair of his sandals are also preserved. This holy Gurudwara also houses a book containing the Hukamnamas of Guru Gobind Singh and Guru Tegh Bahadur.
