Tulsishyam Temple, Gir Forest, Gujarat
Tulsishyam is a holy place situated in dence forest of Gir near Junagadh surrounded by various kinds of flowers and pure nature environment. It is believed that Tulsishyam Temple was constructed 1000 years ago during the Solanki dynasty and dedicated to Lord Shree Krishna.
Tulsishyam temple is famous for its hot water springs; thousand of devotee takes holy bath in kund and also offer Tarpan and perform various rituals. The Hot water springs are the most important attraction and full of medicinal value.
As per the Scriptures this area knows as 'Taptodak' Tirth where holy bath in Trupti Kund was too glorious. Legend says that Lord Krishna killd the demon king Tul here thus this place is associated with his name along with that of Krishna as Shyam thus famous as Tulsishyam.
Devotee can visit Rukmani Devi Temple located on small hill around 100 sptes to climb opposite to Tulsi Shyam Temple and Mahaprabhuji Bethak near temple. Dharmashala, Bhojanalaya are available at Tulsi Shyam to facilitate devotee. Many time lion and other wild animal are moving around this temple and on the road so it is not advisible to drive during night.
Tuli Shyam fair is planned here on 11th day of Shukl Paksha of Bhadra month – Jal Zilni Ekadashi; thousand of devotee from near by villages visits here with enormous faith and devotion.
