Salasar Balaji Temple or Salasar Dham or Balaji Dham, the highly sacred temple of Lord Hanumanji is located in the small village Salasar of Sujangarh Tehsil of Churu district, Rajasthan. The temple of Balaji – another name of Lord Hanumanji is situated in center of Salasar where millions of devotee visits throughout the year with great devotion towards the Hanumanji. Salasar Balaji temple is most unique for idol of Lord Hanumaji, here idol of Hanumaji has human form, with round face with mustache and beard. Initially temple was built in 1754 by Mohandasji Maharaj great devotee of Lord Hanumanji and then renovated and developed couple times by various rulers and devotee. Every year massive fair arranged on Chaitra Chaturdashi and Purnima, Bhadrapada Chaturdashi and Purnima and Ashwin Chaturdashi and Purnima, the highly sacred days when millions of devotee across the world visits here and get the blessing of Salasar Balaji. Salasar is also part of religious circuit which includes the Khatu Shyamji Temple, Jeen Mata and Rani Sati Temple which are located closely with each other.
Salasar Balaji Temple has very interesting history, as per it, Mohandasji Maharaj – son of Lachhiramji Patodiya was great devotee of Lord Balaji from early childhood. His sister Kanhiben was married in village Sarasar. Mohandas Maharaj was shifted to Salasar after the death of husband of Kanhiben to support Kanhiben and her son. Lord Balaji blessed with worship of Mohandasji Maharaj and given Darshan to him and his sister. Lord Balaji had also promised to Mohandasji that Idol will come is sometime and stay always here in Salasar.
After some time it is said that idol of Lord Balaji was found by a Jat farmer from villages Asota of Rajasthan. Lord Balaji came in dream of Thakur of Asota and order him to shift idol at Salasar. Same day Lord Balaji also came in dream of Mohandasji Maharaj and told about the idol. Thus idol found by that Jat farmer forwarded to the Thakur of Asota and then to great devotee Mohandas Maharaj in Salasar. Idols was place here in Salasar in 1754 on Saturday, ninth day Shukla paksha of sacred month Sravan, with Vedic methods in small temple made from mud and stone. One day Mohandas ji Maharaj lost his attention due to Bhajan Kirtan of Lord Balaji and decorated idols with Shindur and Ghee. After this idol had changed the original form to current human face form with round face with mustache and beard
Then huge temple was constructed with bricks, stones, cement, lime mortar, and marble in next two year. White marble stone are extensively used across the temple campus including circulatory path, Sabha Mandap prayer hall and the Sanctum Sanctorum is covered with creative works of Gold and Silver. The entrance, doors are made of silver and main gate is made of white marble. The temple shrine and the sanctum sanctorum are decorated with bloomy patterns and some carved in Gold and Silver as well.
The most used rituals here in temple is the tying of coconuts with moli sacred red threads by devotees. Another key rituals is offering of food weighing up to 50 kg by the devotees to Lord Balaji also famous as Savamani. Also chanting of Sundarkand, Ramayana, Bhajan Kirtan etc. are key attraction in temple campus.
It is believed that Salasar Balaji fulfill wish of all devotee. Thus thousands of devotee visits here throughout the year, especially on Tuesday and Saturday in small village Salasar. So all required facilities for devotee are very well maintained which includes accommodation in Dharmshala, Hotels and Guest Houses, lot of restaurant, Bhojanalaya where devotee can eat food of their choice, also cab service can are available.
Worship of Lord Balaji in temple campus is managed by Brahmins priests from the Dadhich clan who are descendants of Mohandas ji's sister. The temple campus is managed and maintained by the Hanuman Sewa Samiti trust. Temple Trust is also involved in lot of social, spiritual activities including fairs, social works, maintenance of road, water supply, charitable hospitals, Dharmshala, Bhojanalaya etc.

Salasar village of Churu district is located on the highway that connects Jaipur and Bikaner thus very well connected with road network to all the major cities of India. Sujangarh railway station is the nearest railway station at just 25 km from Salasar which is well connected with all major cities of Rajasthan. Nearest airport is the Jaipur International Airport at 170 km from Salasar from where you can get bus or cab. Apart from this nearest major cities are Sujangarh, Ratnagarh, Laxmangarh, Jaipur, Bikaner etc.
