Khedbrahma is one of the major ancient pilgrimage centre of Sabarkantha District of Gujarat, located on bank of River Harnav and just 50 kms away from Arasur Amabji Temple and 25 kms from Idar. It is very popular in devotee of Ma Devi Ambe due to ancient temple of Goddess Ambaji. Temple is located near bus station and believed to be built during 11th century and renovated several times during various ruler. Many times it is referred as Nana Ambaji also to differentiate from the Arasur Ambaji Shakti peeth temple located at just 50 km from Khedbhrama. Nana Ambaji temple is managed by temple trust, established by ruler of state Idar. Idol of Goddess Ambe is installed in center and idols of lord Ganesha, Hanumanji, Kal Bhairava, Saraswati ma etc. are place in huge temple complex. Thousands of devotee visit here throughout the year and mainly on Purnima, both Navratri and especially on Bhadarvi Purnima festival. Bhadarvi Melo – fair is arranged in Ambaji so devotee visit Khedbrahma Ambaji temple first the reach to Ambaji Shaktipeeth temple. Temple trust manages Bhojanalaya, Parking, Dharmshala etc. to facilitate devotee and tourist. Devotee also visit here to perform various rituals like Yagya, Path and also for Babari – Mundan ceremony. Also local market is very well developed due to devotee and tourist. It is also believed any devotee has to visit first Khedbrahma Nana Ambaji temple and then reach toward the Ambaji Shaktipeeth temple.
