History, Importance, Festival Celebration of Jetalpur Swaminarayana Temple, One of the Temple Build by Lord Swaminarayana, Gujarat
Swaminarayan Mandir located at Jetalpur just 17 kms from Ahmedabad and 5 km from Bareja is very popular and historical temple for devotee of Swaminarayna Sampraday. This is one of the temple which was built by Shree Swaminarayana Bhagwan himself, thus known as Prasadi temple also. Before temple construction here, Annkshetra was started by Sadguru Ramanand Swami at Jetalpur and served by Gangama. On request of Gangama, Lord Shree Hari had constructed temple at Jetalpur by sage Anandanand Swami and placed Revti-Baldevji and Shree Harikrishna Maharaj in Vikram Samvat 1882 on eight day of Krishna Paksha of Falgun month. Great saint Ramanand Swami, Govindanand Swami, Anandanad Swami etc. sage were lived here for long time. Within the temple campus huge Pathshala to study various subject like Sanskrit, Yog, Music, Astrology, Karmkand, Computer, Temple Management etc. is constructed along with saint Nivas, Dharmashala, Yagyashala, Bhojanalaya. Lots of devotee visit here on every Purnima to fulfil their wish and also Shree Acharya Maharaj visit here on every Purnima. As Lord Swaminarayana visited here lot of time and stayed for many days thus devotee can found lot of things of Prasadi of Lord here in Jetalpurdham. During the whole year, lots of festival, celebration spiritual event, Tula Daan and various activities are arranged by temple where devotee around the world take part and get blessing of Lord Swaminarayana.
