History of Hinglajma ni Gufa, Pandav Caves

Hingalajma ni Gufa also known as Pandavo ni Gufa is located near the Sun temple and Lalghati, around 1 km from Somnath Temple, Prabhas Patan. This shrine is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Hinglaj Mata, Lord Shree Ram and Ma Sita, Hanuman, Goddess Durga and Pandavas. It is believed that, Pandava performed penance to please Lord Shiva during the exile and worshiped Hinglajma in this caves. The old temple was built in around 15th century and current structure was expanded by Baba Narayana Das in the year 1949.
