History of Daityasudan Temple, Somnath, Prabhas Patan
Daityasudan Temple is very old and historical temple of lord Vishnu in Somnath, Prabhas Patan. It is located closed to Somnath Temple and adjacent to Chandra Prabha Swami Jain Temple. The Idol of Lord Shree Vishnu is made up of rare black marble. Lord Vishnu came in dream of Sompara Brahman Bhatt Vishwambhar Maheswar, told about the idol and order to find out from Land. This is how the Idol of Lord vishnu found at Prabhas and the structure of idol is same like idol found in South India.
As per the scholar, the idol of Lord Shree Vishnu is form of ancient ChakraMrut Vishnu. One believed is, around 1733 Lord came in dream of Surajmal of Prabhas and order to find idol from land and installed here at Prabhas Patan Kshetra.
