As per legends, Gita Mandir is situated at the very exact spot where Lord Sri Krishna had rested for a while before departing to ‘Neej Dham’ at Dehotsarg and end of Dwapar Yuga. Temple is built in marble stone and idols of Lord Shree Krishna, Laxmi Narayana and SitaRam installed in its inner sanctum.
The most notable part of the Gita Mandir is its eighteen marble pillars with 18 Adhyays of Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta carved on them. Thus this temple is famous and known as Gita Mandir. The internal parts of the temple are decked with paintings representing the life of Lord Krishna. The Gita Mandir is built in such a way that any sound made in the temple is echoed. As a result, the Krishna Bhajans and Stotras chanted inside the temple echo in the surroundings and create spiritual environment.
