History and Significance of Tagdi Mahaprabhuji Bethak
Tagdi is small village situated on Ahmedabad – Botad highway, well known for one of the 84 bethakji of Shree Mahaprabhuji. Shree Mahaprabhuji Vallabhacharyaji made seat under a tree in front of one Brahmin’s home at Tagadi. Brahman lived here with her wife and two children and having ten cows and buffaloes. One day, his two sons started eating fresh milk when his wife went outside.
Brahmin saw this scene and called up Shree Mahaprabhuji to witness this divine thieving and told if his wife came to know about stealing of butter, she would thrash children. Then Mahaprabhuji explained him that he would tell Shree Krishna and Baldev’s butter stealing story to her wife. Brahman understood the message of Mahaprabhuji and explained to her wife and became devotee of Lord Shree Krishna with grace of Shree Mahaprabhji. Thus this Bethakji is famous for “Makhan Chor Leela”.
