Gira waterfall, located in small village Wanarchod, the seasonal falls around monsoon is around 30 meter natural drop into the River Ambica. Gira Dhod is one of the most popular water fall and located at only 3 km from town Waghai of Dang district, Gujarat and on Saputara-Surat highway around 54 km away from Saputara. This is very beautiful and picturesque waterfall with lush green surrounding area along with basic tourist facilities, thus attracts a lot of people who visit Saputara hill station. As this is season waterfall, thus monsoon – during July – October is the best time to visit Gira Fall. Though lot of tourist visits here for one day picnic but there is no major restaurant or hotels near waterfall but you can find small stall of tea, snack and famous local food and handicraft items. Lots of handicraft items are made in Ambapada the small village near Gira falls, thus if time permits then you should plan to visit this village and purchase items which will help to boost in local economy. You can also enjoy ride in open jeep here. The falls can only be reached by 1 km trekking from the parking place. The best season to visit the waterfalls is the post-monsoon season.

As Gira fall is very popular water fall of Gujarat and located on Saputara Surat high way, thus it is easily reachable via Road, Rail or Air network. It is just 3 km away from Waghai and you have to trek for one from the parking place to reach Gira Dhodh. The nearest railway station is in Waghai and airport in Surat. Tourist can plan to visit here on their Saputara tour and its also one day picnic spot for nearby cities like Waghai, Bilimora, Surat, Vadodara etc.
