History of Laxmi Narayana Temple at Gaulok Dham, Somnath, Prabhas Patan
Laxminarayana Temple is situated adjacent to the Gita Mandir in Gaulok Dham on the bank of hoy river Hiranya. This templs is dedicated to SupremeLord Shree Vishnu and Goddess Ma Devi Laxmi. This temple is small but built in modern Indian style of architecture.
The structure is made in marbles and ornamented with beautiful carvings. The carvings on the temple walls depict the all 24 Avtar – incarnation of Lord Vishnu, the great events of Hindu Puranas – Holy Scriptures. Apart from the idol of Lord Laxmi Narayan, several other idols of various Hindu Gods and Godesses are preserved in this temple.
