Koth is small village near Dholaka in Ahmedabad district but very popular for temple of Lord Ganesh. The popularity of this temple is such that Koth is now called as Ganpatipura. This is historical and highly sacred place of Vighnaharta dev who remove all the hurdle, Lord Shree Ganesha. Idol of Lord Ganesh with golden Anklets, Kundal and Kandora was found during land excavation near village Koth in Vikram Samvat 933. These creates disputes between villages like Koth, Rojka and Vankutass that which village should privilege to have this Idol. Then they decided to place idol of Ganesha in cart and idol should be installed where the cart will stop. Cart stopped at Koth also known as Ganpatipura near Arnej, Butbhavani mata temple. Recently temple was renovated with added facilities like huge court yard, dining hall, guest room, dedicated rituals – Puja Vidhi area, Prasad – Laddu, parking etc. As lots of devotee of Lord Ganesha visits here every day and especially on every Chauth or Sankat Chaturthi. Huge local market is also established near temple complex where banana wafer chips is very popular in nearby area.
