Shree Swaminarayana temple located at Kalupur, Ahmedabad, Gujarat is one of the most sacred place for devotee of Lord Swaminarayana across the world. As Kalupur Swaminarayana mandir is one of the main two Gadi defined by Lord Swaminarayana himself, this place is highy significant in all follower of Swaminarayana Sampraday. This temple was declared as Narnarayana Gadi – head quarter and Vadtal temple was declared as Laxmi Narayanaya Gadi by Lord Swaminarayana. This temple was built in guidance of Lord himself in 1822 and huge land was given by British Government in Kalupur area the center of Ahmedabad. This is the first temple of Swaminarayan Sampraday which constructed as per scriptural norms, beautiful carving with natural color and auspicious symbols of Indian culture.
