Swaminarayana temple of Gadhada or well known as Ghadhpur in follower of swaminarayana sect is one of the six temple built under direct guidance of Lord Swaminarayan himself. Dada Khachar, the great devotee of Shree Swaminarayana had donated land in Gadhada to build temple in courtyard of his own residence. This temple also famous as Gopinathji mandir and considered as one of the most significant pilgrimage place as lord spent more than 27 years here in Gadhada. This sacred shrine has two stories with three domes and chief deity as Gopinathji Maharaj and Harikrishna in the middle, Dharma and Bhakti and Vasudeva on the western shrine and Revti-Baldevji, Shri Krishna and Suryanarayan in the eastern shrine. The temple campus comprise of huge assembly hall for satsang sabha, Dharamshalas and Bhojanalaya for pilgrims. Lord Swaminarayan had built skyscraper mandirs in Ahmedabad, Bhuj, Vadtal, Dholera, Junagadh and Gadhpur and also started construction in Muli, Dholaka, Jetalpur, Buranpur, Idar etc. Thousands of devotee across the world visits here around the year and especially during the festivals and all the Purnima.
