Kirti Mandir was built in 1936 as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III. Kirti Mandir is also known as "Temple of Fame" is the cenotaph of the Gaekwads. Kirti Mandir is situalted near vishwamitri bridge towards the north of Maharaja Fateh sinh rao statue. The marble treated interiors of the Kirti Mandir are wonderfully decorated with intricately carved murals. This is the place where members of royal family Gaekwads are cremated. Map of undivided India, bronze structure of the Lord Sun, Lord Moon and Earth are key display in the center of the Kirti Mandir.
