Kirti Toran, Vadnagar, Gujarat
Kirti Toran are pair of 12th century columns supporting an arch, around 40 feet in height built in red and yellow sandstone, located on the Sharmishta Lake in historical town Vadnagar. Kirti Toran is one of the few existing examples of the entrance gates, once a regular feature of the architecture of Gujarat during Solanki period. Lord Shiva is the main deity on the Toran arches. The carving style is look likes as the Rudra Mahalaya of Sidhpur .
