Kalo Dunger or Black Hill or Magnetic Hill, the highest point of Kutch, Gujarat at 462 mtr high is one of the best place to visit near Bhuj and white desert or great ran of Kutch at village Dhordo where Government of Gujarat arrange the Rann Utsav – annual festival in desert. Bhuj to Kalo Dunagar is just 90 km and Kala Dungar to Dhordo is just 50 km so tourist must have to visit Kalo Dungar, the Black hill or Magnetic Hill Kutch during their trip to Bhuj or Rann Utsav Kutch at Dhodi. Kalo Dunger is just 25 km north from Khavda – the major centre in the region of white desert. From the top of this hill individual can have panoramic view of whole white desert, the most amazing experience of Kutch visit. On hill top, 400 years old temple of Lord Dattatrey is situated where lots of followers of Dattatreya the incarnation of Lord Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh visit around the year. There are lots of story attached with this place and one of this is, saint Lakh Guru – devotee of Lord Dattatreya was lived here in his Ashram. One day wild jackals came in front of him and Guruji offered simple vagitable food, Dal and rice. Since that day Jackals started coming every day and till date after 400 years same practice to prepare food and served to jackals has been followed by temple priest. Morning and evening is the best time to visit here and witness the sun rise and sun set for Kalo Dunger.

As Kalo Dungar is one the main attraction of Kutch and especially during the Rann Utsav, Long celebrated festival in white desert near villageDhordo. It is very well connected with all major cities of India via Road, Rail and Air network. Bhuj has nearest major railway station and airport. Tourist and devotee can reach here easily by personal vehicle or with private cab as road is well developed from Bhuj and from White Rann of Kutch. Public transport is hardly available so tourist has to plan accordingly.
