Ahalya or the Ahilya was the wife of great sage Gautama Maharshi and very beautiful lady on the earth at that time. She was seduced by Lord Indra with cheating. Then she was cursed by her husband. later on she was liberated from the curse by Lord Shree Rama, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
