Sharad Purnima is the most important and the most famous Purnima across all the twelve Purnima. Sharad Purnima is the festival of worshipping Lord Chandra (Moon) and Ma Devi Laxmi. This is celebrated on Ashwini month Purnima. As per our scripture, Sharad Purnima is the most Holy Purnima and there are lots of other believes as well. Sharad Purnima is also known as the Kojagari Purnima because of the famous Kojagar Vrat and Ras Purnima because of Lord Shree Krishna played Maha Ras Lila on this night. People across the nation worship Ma Devi Laxmi, Jagaran and eat Khir at midnight or on the next day of the Sharad Purnima. Ma Devi Laxmi visits Earth during the night and gives the blessing to, who is awake and is praying. There are different forms of Ma Devi Laxmi, the form can be beauty, finance, goodwill courage and many more. All of them can be achieved by the people who are hardworking and determined. So the famous statement is used many times, उत्तिष्ठत, जाग्रत प्राप्य वरान्नी बोधत – arise, awake and do not stop until you reached the goal.
