Purpose: Kashi Vishwanath Dham Project Inauguration by PM Narendra Modi on 13 December 2021
Detail: Narendrabhai Modi, Honorable Prime Minister of India has inaugurated the phase 1 projects of Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Banaras Kashi which adds the facilities and beauty of temple premise. For these projects around 300 house and shops were purchased to spread the surrounding area of temple as previously temple premise is only 3000 square feet and now its over 5 lakh squares feet. In phase one, around 23 new building are constructed which add facilities like Yatri Suvidha Kendra, Tourist Facilities, Bhogshala, museum, viewing gallery, food court, information center etc. for pilgrims and also it will boost the tourism here. During the process of destruction of old properties, more than 40 ancient temple were found, which showcase the Sanatan Dharma values and history. Then it has been decided to restore these temple without changing original structure. Devotee can take holy bath in Ganga and reach to temples and entire walkway and surrounding area is highly developed in this project.
